Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Six Titans scored in double-figures on Friday night as the Indiana University South Bend men's basketball team earned its ninth straight season opening victory at Miami-Middletown as IUSB stormed past the ThunderHawks by a score of 110-62.

IU South Bend scored 55 points in both halves en route to its first victory on the season and on the road. Senior Myles Simons scored a game-high 22 points off seven of 12 shooting, while senior transfer Kourtlandt Martin added 18 on the night.
Junior Norell Smith led the way on the glass with a game-high five rebounds as IUSB grabbed a total of 33 total rebounds. Smith added 11 points as well as sophomore transfer Sergio Diaz. Dylan Allen and Miguel Mahan were the final Titans in double-figures both scoring 12, respectively. Nine of Diaz's points came from behind the arc as IUSB shot nine of 19 from behind the three-point line.
In his first game with the Crimson & Cream, freshman Sam Snodgrass added four points in six minutes while freshman Micah Poole added three points. As a team, IUSB shot 42 of 68 from the field which was good for an impressive 61.8 percent on the night. The Titans held Middletown to just 33 and 29 points in both halves as the ThunderHawks fell in their season opener.
IUSB returns to the court tomorrow to play at Cincinnati Christian. Tipoff in Cincinnati is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
