As a team, Indiana University South Bend shot 41.7 percent from the field going 35-for-84 while collecting nine team three-pointers on 33 chances. Martin scored five of his 28 from the free throw line as the guard went 5-for-6 and IUSB capitalized on 13-of-20 from the charity strike.

Heading into the locker room at half, CCU held the 37-35 advantage before IUSB rattled off 30 points in the second half compared to the Eagles' 28. However with just 21 seconds remaining in regulation, CCU's Jahsan Upshaw delivered a three point field goal to send the game into overtime.

In the first five-minute overtime, both teams shot 50 percent from the field but with seconds remaining CCU found itself at the line to seal the win with a pair of free throws. A made free throw and a lane violation forced the game into double OT. The Titans would then roll, outscoring their opponents 16-8 to seal the victory and improve to 2-0 on the season.
