A layup by senior Kourtlandt Martin with just under a minute and a half to play pulled the Titans within one point of the Tigers, but ONU's CJ Smith drilled a three-ball to push the deficit back to four, 68-64. Free throws were the only source of offense for both teams over the remaining minute as the Tigers avenged the IUSB upset that occurred in South Bend, Ind. back on Nov. 16, 2019.

Martin converted a layup with nine seconds to play in the first half as the Titans took a one-point, 28-27, lead into the half. The nationally ranked Tigers outscored IUSB in the second half 45-37 to help seal their 18th victory.

Martin scored a team-high 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while dishing out four assists and notching two rebounds. Sophomore Miles Tracy added a 13-point, eight rebound game, nearly missing out on a double-double.

As a team, the Titans shot 38.7 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from distance. The Tigers shot 42.9 percent for the game, including 33.3 percent from distance. IUSB held a 16 to 11 edge in bench points, as well as a 36-30 advantage in points in the paint. Olivet Nazarene held the upperhand in assists 17-10, while each team totaled five steals.

Indiana University South Bend returns to action at the Student Activities Center on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m., welcoming Trinity Christian.
