UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. – The Indiana University South Bend men's basketball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end in its first road Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup of 2020 as the Titans fell 90-71, Wednesday night, Jan. 8, at Governors State University. With the loss, the Titans are now 12-6 overall and 6-4 during league play.

Senior Miguel Mahan dropped a team-high 15 points while sophomore Donyell Meredith II added his seventh double figures game with 11, respectively. Meredith and junior Norell Smith led all Titans on the glass as the pair both grabbed five total rebounds. Two different IUSB players dished out three assists on the night, including guards Dylan Allen and Kourtlandt Martin.

Shooting woes plagued the Titans as IUSB converted just 42.1 percent of its shot attempts while getting outrebounded 41-28 to the Jaguars. Governors State connected on 50 percent of its field goals and knocked down 15 triples.

After trailing by just one at the half, IUSB just couldn't keep up the pace with the Jaguars as GSU outscored the Titans 51-33 in the second 20-minute stanza to hand IU South Bend its first loss since Dec. 7, 2019 to the hands of IU Northwest, 85-81.

The Titans remain on the road, travelling to No. 6 Olivet Nazarene on Saturday, Jan. 11. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. (EST) in Bourbonnais, Ill.
