#25 Titans cruise to win over Pomeroys

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Donyell Meredith led the way with 22 points, as No. 25 IU South Bend cruised to a dominant win on Saturday afternoon, defeating first-year program St. Mary-of-the-Woods, 104-59 inside the Student Activities Center.

Five players finished in double figures for the Titans (4-2), as Meredith went 8-for-10 from the floor and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds in the win. Dylan Allen and Miles Tracy each scored 14, while Micah Poole and Da'Vion Davis came off the bench for 11 points on the day.

The Titans jumped out to a big early lead on the visitors, taking a 13-2 advantage by the 14:21 mark of the first half with a layup from Meredith. The Pomeroys (1-4) would respond with a pair of buckets, but a run of 13 unanswered points capped with a three from Allen midway through the first half gave IUSB a 20-point lead that wouldn't drop into single digits the rest of the way.

Tracy closed the first half with a team-high 10 points, and Meredith took over in the second, scoring the team's first five points after the halftime break and scoring 15 of his 22 points during the second period. The Titans continued to build their lead, going up by as much as 53 points near the four-minute mark on Deshon Burnett's steal and dunk on the other end.

The Titans will look to keep the momentum rolling when they resume CCAC play next week, beginning with a trip to Saint Xavier on Wednesday night. Tipoff with the Cougars on November 17 is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
