Titans earn home win over Lincoln

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Six players finished in double figures, as a balanced attack from IU South Bend led to the Titans' third-straight CCAC victory, 83-68 over Lincoln on Saturday afternoon.

Miles Tracy led the way, scoring a game-high 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while serving up six assists in the win. Dylan Allen scored 15 with four steals, going 5-for-9 from the floor and 3-for-5 from three-point range.

Donyell Meredith and Sergio Diaz each finished with 12 points, while Spencer Pettit and Micah Poole tallied ten points apiece.

Allen gave the Titans (6-3, 3-0 CCAC) an early lead, scoring the team's first seven points to put IUSB in front 7-2 less than four minutes into the game. The Lynx would take advantage of 13 offensive rebounds and nine second-half points in the first half, eventually tying the score at 25-25 by the 6:43 mark.

Lincoln (2-7, 2-3 CCAC) briefly took the lead on a three-pointer, but Allen would put the Titans back in front on the next trip down the floor, hitting a three of his own and giving IUSB a 30-28 lead with 5:37 left in the first half. That bucket started an 11-0 run for the Titans, who would lead the rest of the way.

Following Poole's half-court buzzer-beater to bring the first half to a close, the Titans would maintain a double-digit lead throughout most of the second half. A three-pointer from Pettit late in the game put the Titans up by 20 points, and Meredith's free throw with 1:10 on the clock gave the home team their largest lead of the day, 83-62.

The Titans continue the current three-game homestand on Tuesday, November 23, when they host Governors State. Tipoff with the Jaguars is set for 7:30 p.m.
