SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-1, 0-0 CCAC) fell to Rockford University 81-79.
The IU South Bend Titans were led by senior guard
Kenny Washington who finished the contest with 24 points, four rebounds, and four steals.Â
Dejon Barney fell one rebound short of his second straight double-double, finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds.Â
Down 48-31 at halftime, the Titans battled back to get back in the game in the second half. With just over two minutes left in the game, a three point field goal from Barney gave the Titans their first lead of the contest. However, Rockford University wasn't finished, the 15th made three by the Regents gave them the edge in their two point victory. As a team, Rockford shot over 50% from the three point line.Â
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, November 2nd, as they begin the CCAC/Crossroads Challenege with a 6:00 game against Goshen College.Â
