NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (16-6, 11-3 CCAC) defeated the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles (12-9, 0-1) by a score of 61-57. Friday's victory extends the Titans winning streak to three games, their second winning streak this season of at least three games.
Trailing by two at halftime, IU South Bend outscored the Golden Eagles 35-29 in the second half, on their way to a 61-57 victory.
IU South Bend featured three players who reached double digits in scoring, led by
Miles Tracy who finished with a team high 15 points on 7-12 shooting from the field. Tracy's 15 points on Friday marks his third game this season with 15 points or more.
Next in line in scoring for the Titans was
Sam Snodgrass, who finished with 13 points thanks to 3-4 shooting from beyond the three point line. Friday marks the fourth game this season in which Snodgrass has reached double digits in the scoring column.
The last Titan to reach double figures was
Micah Poole, who finished with 11 points on better than 60% shooting from the field. With 11 points on Friday, Poole has now scored double digits in 12 of the Titans 22 games this season.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, February 1st, when they travel to Bourbonnais, Ill., to square off with Olivet Nazarene University at 8:30 PM ET. In a three way tied for second place in the CCAC, the winner of Wednesday's contest will move into sole possession of one of the top three spots in conference.
