Titans fall to Saint Ambrose in regular season finale

DAVENPORT, IA.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (20-8, 15-5 CCAC) lost to the Saint Ambrose University Fighting Bees (5-20, 4-16 CCAC) by a score of 90-75 to conclude regular season play.

At 15-5 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, IU South Bend has earned the fourth seed in the conference tournament and will host the University of Saint Francis on Tuesday, February 21st, at 7:00 PM ET in the Student Activities Center.

In Saturday's loss, the Titans were led by senior forward Spencer Pettit who finished with 15 points, four points shy of his season high of 19 points which came at Cornerstone University.

Pettit's 15 points came on 4-13 shooting from the field, including two three point field goals and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line. Saturday marked the eighth time this season in which Pettit has scored multiple times from beyond the three point line.

Donyell Meredith II was the only other Titan to record double figures in Saturday's contest finishing with a total of 14 points on nearly 40% shooting from the field.

Meredith II finished three rebounds shy of double-double status as he secured seven boards in Saturday's contest, boosting her season average to better than five rebounds per game.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, February 21st, when they host the Saints of Saint Francis at 7:00 PM in the Student Activities Center. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Holy Cross vs. Olivet Nazarene game. If Holy Cross defeats Olivet Nazarene, the Titans would host Holy Cross on Thursday, February 23rd. If Olivet Nazarene defeats Holy Cross, the Titans would travel to Olivet Nazarene.
