JOLIET, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (3-6-1, 0-4-0 CCAC) fell on the road to the University of Saint Francis Fighting Saints (1-5-4, 1-1-2 CCAC) by a score of 5-0.
Saint Francis started the scoring early when freshmen Isabel Diaz scored in the sixth minute of Wednesday's contest to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.
Just over 10 minutes later, Diaz found the back of the net in the 17th minute for her second goal of the game, extending the Saint Francis lead to 2-0.
Senior forward Alexis Marroquin punched in the third first half goal for Saint Francis, furthering the Titans deficit to 3-0.
Less than five minutes into the second half, sophomore defender Abbey Janeczek scored with an assist from Kelly Flores giving the Saints a 4-0 lead.
Kelly Flores contributed again when she found the back of the net in the 62nd minute to cap off the Saint Francis scoring and ultimately give the Saints a 5-0 victory.
Freshman goalkeeper
Rylee Cotton made nine saves in Wednesday's contest giving her a total of 65 saves on the season.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, September 30th, when they host the RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest at 12:00 PM at Newton Park.
