LAKEVILLE, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (3-10-1, 1-6-0 CCAC) defeated the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders (7-3-4, 2-0 Conf.) by a final score of 4-1.
Saturday's non-conference match remained scoreless until the 35th minute of the match when junior
Alex Chichester found the back of the net for a goal assisted by
Olivia Enyeart to give the Titans a 1-0 lead in the first half.Â
Haylie Rodriguez got the scoring started early in the second half when she scored back to back goals within five minutes of one another, the first coming in the 49th minute and the second coming in the 5-4 minute to extend the IU South Bend lead to 3-0.Â
IUSB continued their scoring in the 63rd minute when Haylie Marsch score an unassisted goal to cap off the Titans scoring, moving their lead to 4-0.Â
Great Lakes Christian punched in a late goal in the 79th minute but could not score again and ultimately fell to the Titans by a final score of 4-1.Â
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, October 23rd, when they travel to Bourbonnais, Illinois, to take on the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene University at 8:00 PM ET.Â
