COLUMBUS, Ind- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (3-4, 0-0 CCAC) defeated the Indiana University Columbus Crimson Pride (0-10, 0-0 Conf.) by a final score of 91-63.
A back and forth first 20 minutes of play saw four lead changes and six different ties between the IU foes.
Not until the three minute mark of the first half did the Titans take the lead for good, thanks to one of
Jylen Petty's four made three point field goals which allowed IU South Bend to take a 40-37 lead heading into halftime.
The second half of play was all Titans as IUSB scored eight of the first 11 points to help dominate the second half, outscoring the Crimson Pride 51-26 in the period.
A breakaway windmill dunk from
Deshon Burnett put the finishing touches on Wednesday's contest with IU South Bend defeating IU Columbus by a final score of 91-63.
A plethora of Titans put up at least 10 points in the scoring column, led by senior forward
Jylen Petty who finished with a team high 20 points.
Petty's 20 points gives him at least 20 in two of his last three games while recording at least four made three point field goals in each of the last three games.
Another Titan who flourished was senior forward
Shawn Brown who finished with 12 points while also securing 11 rebounds good for his first double-double of the young season.
Other Titans to score in doubles figures were
Quentez Columbus and
Deshon Burnett who finished with 10 points while sophomore guard
AJ Dunn added 11 points.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, November 26th, when they begin CCAC play by hosting the Saints of Holy Cross College at 7:30 PM ET in the Student Activities Center.
