MISHAWAKA, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (2-2, 0-0 CCAC) lost their second game of the season, falling to the Bethel University Pilots (4-0, 0-0 Conf.) by a final score of 78-57.
Trailing by one point less than halfway through the first period, the Bethel Pilots closed out the first half on a 16-11 run to take a four point lead heading into halftime.Â
The second half did not prove friendly to the Titans as they were outscored 53-36 and ultimately dropped the non-conference game 78-57 to the Bethel University Pilots.Â
The IU South Bend offense featured three different scorers to record double digits in the scoring column, led by sophomore forward
Kyle Olagbegi who finished with 13 points.Â
Olagbegi's 13 points came on 60% (6-10) shooting from the field while also recording a career best eight rebounds.Â
Another Titan to score in double figures was senior forward
Jylen Petty who finished with 12 points. Petty's 12 points came on 50% shooting from the field while also connecting on two of the four three pointers that he attempted.Â
The last Titan to score in double figures was junior
Nick Mullen who also finished with 12 points. Mullen's 12 points came on better than 70% shooting from the field while also hauling in six rebounds.Â
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, November 13th, when they host the Cougars of the University of Saint Franics (Ind.) at 7:30 PM ET in the Student Activities Center.
