Box Score WHITING, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (17-6, 12-3) defeated the Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave (7-15, 5-10 CCAC) by a final score of 71-53.
Up just by one point at 19-18 with under five minutes, the Titans closed out the first half on a 12-7 run to end the first half ahead by a final score of 31-25.
The Titans outscored the Crimson Wave 40-28 in the second half to defeat CCSJ by a final score of 71-53.
Senior guard
Micah Poole led the Titans with a season high 20 points.
Poole's 20 points came on better than 50% shooting while knocking down a season high five three point field goals.
Senior forward
Dejon Barney recorded his 12th double-double of the season by posting 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Barney's 10 rebounds keeps his CCAC best rebounds per game at over 10 rebounds while placing fourth in points per game.
The last Titan to score in double figures was forward
Jylen Petty who finished with 14 points.
Petty also finished with 13 rebounds, an IUSB career high while posting his third double-double of the season.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, February 10th, when they host the Saint Ambrose Fighting Bees at 3:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
