CHICAGO, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (7-21, 1-3 CCAC) split their doubleheader with the Saint Xavier University Cougars (13-9, 1-1 CCAC) falling in game one 10-0 before winning game two by a final score of 2-0.
Game 1
Saint Xavier jumped out to an early lead in the first inning by scoring four runs on three hits to take a 4-0 lead.
IU South Bend saw their best chance to score in the first when catcher
Maddie Leisher doubled but was stranded on second base to end the inning.
The Cougars extended their lead to 6-0 by plating two more runs on three hits.
One run in the fourth and three more in the seventh ended game one early with the Titans losing 10-0.
Game 2
Game two remained at a scoreless tie until the sixth inning when the Titans took the lead by scoring two runs on three hits.

Haley Fair singled in
Reece Douglass to help lead the Titans to a 2-0 victory.
Freshman pitcher
Savannah Hamilton recorded her second straight win by pitching seven shutout inning while striking out seven Saint Xavier Cougars. Coming off of a win over Cornerstone, Hamilton has now allowed just two earned runs in her last 14 innings on the mound.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, April 6th, when they host the Calumet College of Saint Joseph Crimson Wave at 1:00 PM ET at Northwood High School in Nappanee, Ind.
