Lakeville, IN - In a challenging home opener at Newton Park, the IUSB Titans women's soccer team was shut out by Viterbo University with a final score of 3-0. Viterbo took an early lead with goals from Paxten Bristol in the 25th minute and Natalie Graham in the 29th minute. Bristol secured her second goal of the match in the 61st minute, assisted by Brynlee Kelly.
The Titans faced a relentless Viterbo offense, who finished the game with 23 shots, 15 of which were on goal. IUSB goalkeeper Maddie Stark had a standout performance with 11 saves. On the offensive side, the Titans were limited to six shots and four shots on goal. The match saw a combined 19 fouls and several substitutions for both teams.
The Titans will be in action next against Calumet College of Saint Joseph on Tuesday, September 23. Game time is set for 5:00 PM EST at Newton Park.
