Olagbegi Scores Conference Weekly Honor

CHICAGO --- IU South Bend stood tied at the top of the CCAC standings on Tuesday in part because of Kyle Olagbegi's strong play. The junior put together a solid two-game stretch last week on the way to a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Defensive Player of the Week recognition.

Olagbegi was active all over the floor for IU South Bend, leading the team defensively with five steals and two blocks on the week while also contributing across the stat sheet. In a key home win over Governors State, he recorded 10 rebounds, three steals, and one block, helping the Titans secure a 77-71 victory.

Across the two contests, Olagbegi averaged 10.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game while playing just over 26 minutes per contest.

The weekly honor was the first for the junior, while the Titans men's basketball squad reached their third overall this season.

IU South Bend will be back in action on Wednesday, hosting Trinity Christian at 7:00 pm.
