Indiana University South Bend

Fred Harris, originally from South Bend after an impressive two year career at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II West Virginia State University and a year of professional experience with the West Virginia Miners of the Premier Basketball League.

White at WVSU, Harris ranked second in the country in blocked shots his junior season and eighth in his senior season. Fred still holds the single-season record with 143 blocked shots while helping lead the Yellow Jackets to a 29-4 record a berth in the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament.

Fred earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice while at West Virginia State.
