Justin Akers became the first head men's golf coach in 2015 after the program was added to the list of varsity sports offered.

Justin spent the pervious two years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Ohio Wesleyan University.

Akers, a 2012 graduate of OWU had three year playing career on the men's golf team. While at OWU, Justin helped the Battling Bishops to a second-place finish in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings during his senior season.

Justin earned his bachelor's degree in sports management at Ohio Wesleyan.
