Alexandra (Alex) Dunfee began her collegiate coaching career with the Titans during the 2022-2023 season as an assistant coach. Prior to joining the Titans, she coached softball at the high school level.
Alex played for the University of Southern Indiana from 2008-2010 where she was a Catcher/UTL player. Her freshman year she hit .361 for the Screaming Eagles and saw action behind the plate with a 1.000 fielding percentage in 24 games. She returned for her sophomore season before transferring to Purdue University as a junior to finish out her degree.
A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, Alex graduated from Penn High School in 2008 where she was a 4-year varsity softball and basketball player. On the softball field, Alex excelled as a catcher. She was named Indiana's First Team All-State Catcher and competed in the North/South Indiana All-Star game her senior year. Alex also earned Indiana All-State catching honors as a junior while making the Northern Indiana All-Conference Team every year of her varsity playing career. Alex's name remains in the record books in multiple hitting categories to this day.
Alex is currently a high school graphic design teacher. She earned her bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University in 2013 and her master's degree in STEM Education and Leadership from Illinois State University in 2017 while obtaining her K-12 teaching license. After stints in Chicago and Indianapolis, Alex found her way back home to the South Bend area where she enjoys being closer to family.
