Mikaela Schramski is entering her first season as an assistant softball coach following a successful collegiate pitching career at Mercyhurst University. A 2024 graduate, she majored in Forensic Science with a minor in Anatomy and Physics, Mikaela brings both her expertise in softball and her academic background to her new role.
Before her time at Mercyhurst, Mikaela was a standout at Penn High School, where she helped lead her team to sectional and regional titles in 2018 and 2019. Her exceptional performance earned her All-NIC Honorable Mention honors in 2019. Additionally, Mikaela’s achievements extended to the club softball circuit, where she played for the Harris Heat 16U. With this team, she won both the NSA State and World Series Championships in 2019. Her commitment to excellence continued with the Midwest USSSA Pride, with whom she captured the 2019 State Championship.
Mikaela’s experience as a player and her deep understanding of the game makes her a valuable addition to the IU South Bend coaching staff, where she is eager to help develop the next generation of student-athletes.
