Jason Clune

Jason Clune enters his fourth season as the assistant coach for the IU South Bend men's basketball team.

Clune has played an instrumental role in the success of the IU South Bend men’s basketball program since joining the staff. In his first three seasons, the Titans have won 62 games, advanced to two CCAC conference championship games, captured the 2023 CCAC Tournament Championship, and earned a berth in the 2023 NAIA National Tournament. With his help, the program has produced three NAIA All-Americans, two CCAC Defensive Players of the Year, and nine All-Conference selections, continuing the tradition of excellence on and off the court.

Prior to IU South Bend, Jason coached at Angola High School for the last two years, spending one year as the "C" team head coach and one year as the JV head coach. Clune served as a varsity assistant coach both years.

As a player, Jason played his high school basketball at Meadville High School in Meadville, PA., where he was a three time first team all-region performer as well as being named player of the year in his junior year and male athlete of the year in his senior year. Clune finished his high school playing career with 1,439 points, good enough for fifth in Meadville High School history.

During his college playing career, Clune was a four year member of the Trine University men's basketball team where he helped lead the Thunder to the 2019 MIAA regular season championship.

Jason graduated from Trine University in 2020 with his degree in Elementary Education and now teaches fifth grade at Liberty Elementary in Mishawaka, Indiana.
