SOUTH BEND, Ind. - In the rematch of last season's Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game, the Indiana University South Bend volleyball team swept the title holder Trinity Christian in straight sets inside the
Student Activities Center Thursday night, March 4. The Titans handled the Trolls by 25-18, 25-21, and 25-18, improving to 3-1 overall.

Hannah Marchand fueled the Titans with a game-high and fourth consecutive double-digit performance with 14 kills on 34 attempts, good for a .294 attacking percentage. Senior counterpart

Whitney Gessinger chipped in 12 digs apiece while
Taitlyn Trenshaw gathered 10.
Powell orchestrated the attack, finishing with a game-high 30 assists to go along with 10 digs and two kills. Issette and Gessinger finished the night with one ace.
Indiana University South Bend finished with 39 kills to Trinity Christian's 33. The Titans also held a 36-30 edge in assists and a 5-3 advantage in blocks.
The Titans attacked at their best in the first with a .256 clip, leading to a .214 percentage for the night. For the game, IUSB registered a season-low 12 errors against the defending champions while the Trolls committed 27.
IUSB returns to the road Saturday, March 6, traveling to league foe Cardinal Stritch. First serve in Milwaukee, Wis. is slated for 1 p.m. EST.
