The Titans finished with six hits, led by a 2-for-5 game from senior TJ DeHerrera who also blasted his 12th home run of the season in his final game donning the Crimson and Cream. Sophomore Logan Smith finished with two runs driven in after going 1-for-3. Freshman Taj Abdur-Rahman added an RBI and scored in a 1-for-4 showing.

On the mound, junior transfer Bryson Taylor threw 5.2 innings as the starter, with Matt Smith, Cal Whitaker, and Nolan Lorenz combining for the final few frames.

Indiana University South Bend scored first with two runs in the second. Abdur-Rahman ripped an RBI double to left and eventually scored after Smith hit a single through the left side.

After two scoreless innings, Roosevelt broke through Taylor in the fifth to even the score at 2-2. DeHerrera responded in the bottom half of the inning, blasting his bomb to right center helping the Titans take a two-run lead, 4-2.

The Lakers pushed two runs across in the sixth off three hits and took control with a run in the ninth to flip the script, 5-4, heading into the bottom half of the final frame.

Down to its final at bats, senior Jordan Moore singled to right as the leadoff. Junior transfer Scott Stetz followed, laying down a sacrifice bunt. After Jake Vanderwoude's walk put runners on first and second with one out, a strike out and a fielder's choice ended the IUSB rally.
