UPLAND, Ind. – Ben Balderas paced Indiana South Bend for the second race in a row, as the Titans men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Ray Bullock Invitational hosted by Taylor (Ind.) on Friday.
Balderas earned a 112th-place finish, scoring 75 points to lead the Titans through the 171-man field. The freshman posted a time of 31:15.2 over the 8-kilometer course.
Cohl Fox finished 147th with a time of 33:32.3, while Kyle Cart finished in 33:59.6 to place 151st overall in his season debut.
In the women's race, Anabel Willingham led the Titans, finishing 117th overall with a time of 23:18.3 in the 5K race. Meagan Dietz finished in 25:19.9 to earn 139th out of 166 competitors.
Next up for the Titans is the Bethel (Ind.) Invitational, set for Friday, October 8.
