SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (2-0, 0-0 CCAC) defeated the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines (1-2, 0-0 WHAC) in a lopsided affair by a score of 85-35.
Four different IU South Bend Titans scored in double figures, led by
Maddie Gard with 14 points, shooting better than 80% from the field. Gard also finished with five steals, three assists, and two rebounds in Tuesday's contest.
Amaya Rufus provided valuable minutes off of the bench, as the Titans second leading scorer went for 12 points on 6-9 shooting from the field. Rufus also tallied three steals, three rebounds and two assists.
A balanced IU South Bend offense saw every Titan that entered the game score a point.
In a sub-par shooting performance from behind the three point line, the Titans were forced to find other alternatives to take control of the game. The IU South Bend defense did just that, forcing Michigan-Dearborn into 30 turnovers.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, November 5th, at 1:00 PM as they take on Ohio Christian University in the Student Activities Center.
