SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (5-4, 3-1 CCAC) defeated Trinity Christian College (3-5, 1-4 CCAC) by a score of 104-74.
The Titans offense was led by
Donyell Meredith II who finished with a season high of 28 points on 9-13 shooting from the field including 6-8 from beyond the three point line.
Dejon Barney finished just two rebounds shy of double-double status with 17 points and eight rebounds. Barney's 17 points came on better than 77% shooting from the field.
Kenny Washington also flirted with double-double status as he totaled 16 points while one missing one shot and dishing out seven assists.
The last Titan to reach double figures was
Micah Poole who finished with 15 points on 6-8 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-3 from beyond the three point line. The leading returning three point shooter for IU South Bend has found his stroke from deep, knocking down eight of his last nine attempts from beyond the arc. Poole also finished with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Down 4-3 less than two minutes into the game, the Titans took the lead thanks to one of six three point field goals from
Donyell Meredith II. IU South Bend led the rest of the way, with their largest lead of 39 points coming at the nine minute mark of the second half.
Indiana University South Bend returns to action on Wednesday, December 7th, when they take on the Saints of the University of Saint Francis at 7:30 PM in the Student Activities Center.
