Season high from Miles Tracy helps lead IU South Bend to third straight victory

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (6-4, 4-1 CCAC) defeated the St. Francis Saints (2-4, 1-3 CCAC) by a score of 77-61. Wednesday's win is the third straight for the Titans as well as the third consecutive CCAC victory.

The Titans were led by senior forward Miles Tracy who finished with a season high 22 points. Tracy also finished with season highs in assists with six, steals with three, and blocks with two. The 6'7 senior shot 10-12 from the field while knocking down his only three point attempt of the contest. 

Next in line in scoring for the Titans was Donyell Meredith II who finished three rebounds shy of double-double status with 17 points and seven rebounds. Meredith II shot 7-13 from the field as well as 3-6 from beyond the three point line. 

IU South Bend shot 50% from the three point line boosting their season percentage to 38.5% thanks to 3-6 shooting nights from beyond the arc for Spencer Pettit and Donyell Meredith II. Wednesday marks the third time this season that Pettit has finished with three or more three point field goals. 

The St. Francis Saints were led by forward Carter Fayhee who finished with 19 points on 9-16 shooting from the field. Other Saints in double figures included Aitor Anabitarte who finished with 12 points and Darius Wright who finished with 11 points. 

Tied at 17-17 with eight minutes remaining in the first half, a bucket from Miles Tracy gave the Titans a lead that they would hold on to for the remainder of the contest. 14 first half points from Miles Tracy and 10 from Donyell Meredith II helped the Titans take an eight point lead heading into halftime. Outscoring the Saints by eight in the secong half, IU South Bend found themselves victorious by a score of 77-61. 

Indiana University South Bend returns to action on Saturday, December 10th, when they travel to Gary, Ind., to take on the RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest at 4:00 PM.
