IU South Bend defeats Siena Heights, extend winning streak to seven games

ADRIAN, MI.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (10-4, 7-1 CCAC) defeated the Siena Heights University Saints (4-10, 1-6 WHAC) by a score of 77-58. Thursday's 19 point victory gives the Titans the 10th win in the 2022-2023 campaign and also improves their winning streak to a season best seven games.

For the second straight game, the leading scorer for IU South Bend was Kenny Washington. Washington finished with 18 points on better than 50% shooting from the field and also added six rebounds to cap off his night.

Next in line in scoring for the Titans was Donyell Meredith II, finishing with 11 points thanks to 75% shooting from beyond the three point line. Meredith II continued to excel in all phases of the game as he also recorded five rebounds, five assists, and five steals against Siena Heights. Reaching double figures yet again, Donyell Meredith II extends his streak of scoring in double figures to 12 straight games.

Senior forward Miles Tracy was the next Titan to reach double figures, recording 10 points while playing all but seven minutes of the contest. Tracy flirted with double-double status, finishing Thursday's victory with six rebounds.

The top rebounder for IU South Bend was Dejon Barney, who finished three rebounds shy of a double-double with 10 points and seven rebounds. Barney's 10 points came in just 18 minutes of playing time on an efficient 5-8 shooting performance from the field.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action and CCAC play on Wednesday, January 4th, when they take on the Lakers of Roosevelt University at 7:30 PM in the Student Activities Center. Wednesday's contest will end with either IU South Bend or Roosevelt breaking a three way tie for first place in the CCAC and depending on the results of the IU Northwest vs. St. Xavier game, could even move the winner into first place outright in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
