LAKEVILLE, Ind.- Goalkeeper
Kaitlin Paul made 12 saves, but the IU South Bend Titans struggled to keep pace with the offensive fire power of the Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars, ultimately falling in the Wednesday night contest 6-0 at Newton Park.
The Saint Francis offense was sparked by Freshmen forward Courtney Tobin who tallied a hat trick with three goals against the Titans. Senior forward Aubrey Vince got in on the scoring with two goals of her own and Haley Roberson rounded out the Saint Francis attack with a goal.
The IU South Bend Titans had their best chance to score in the 74th minute of the contest, Junior forward
Katie Jones fired a shot on goal, but Saint Francis goalkeeper Amber Morgan stopped the chance with a diving save.
The Titans of Indiana University South Bend return to action on Saturday, Aug. 27 against Indiana University Kokomo. The Saturday contest will be played at Municipal Stadium in Kokomo, Indiana. The start time of Saturday's game is still to be determined.
