BOURBONNAIS, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (2-18, 2-6 CCAC) fell in three sets to the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers (9-11, 6-4 CCAC) by scores of 19-25, 22-25, 19-25.
The IU South Bend offense was led by senior hitters
Abby Seeger and
Alexis Joyner. Seeger finished with a team high seven kills while Joyner finished just one behind posting six kills.
Seeger also contributed on the defensive side of the ball with four blocks, her fourth consecutive game with at least four blocks.
Three Titans tallied multiple service aces, with
Macy Sherman and
Alexis Joyner recording two while
Felisha Campanello finished with a team high three aces.
Freshman setter
Brynn Lake led the passing game with a team high 24 assists, her second most in a game this season.
Defensive specialist
Sydney Hanna led the defense with 29 digs, finishing just one dig short of her season high of 30 which she posted in a five set loss to Saint Ambrose University on September 7th.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Thursday, October 19th, when they travel to Gary, Ind., to take on interstate CCAC opponent Indiana University Northwest at 8:00 PM EST.
