SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (2-2, 0-0 CCAC) fell to the Cornernstone University Golden Eagles (3-1, 0-0 WHAC) by a final score of 75-69.
A back and forth contest saw eight ties and seven lead changes, with the Titans leading by five points at halftime.
Senior forward
Dejon Barney led the Titans through the first half with a near first half double-double, scoring nine points and securing eight rebounds through 20 minutes of play.
IU South Bend was outscored by nine points in the second half that ultimately lead to their 75-69 loss.
The IU South Bend offense featured three players to record double figures in the scoring column, led by reigning 1st Team All-CCAC selection
Dejon Barney who finsihed with a team high 18 points.
Barney recorded his second double-double of the season, leading the Titans on the glass with 13 rebounds while also playing in a game high 36 minutes.
The next Titan to record double figures was junior
Deshon Burnett who poured in a career high 14 points.
Burnett's 14 points came on 75% shooting from the field while also hauling in three rebounds.
The last Titan to score double figures was senior guard
Sam Snodgrass who finished with 10 points.
Snodgrass' 10 points came via a point in the first half where he scored seven consecutive Titan points.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, November 15th, when they travel to Goshen, Ind., to take on the Maple Leafs of Goshen College at 8:00 PM
