NOTRE DAME, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (2-1, 0-0 CCAC) fell to the Bethel University Pilots (2-0, 0-0 CRC) by a final score of 76-73.
A back and forth first game of the CCAC-Crossroads Challenege included a first half that featured six ties and 13 different lead changes.
Junior guard
Quentez Columbus lead the Titan offense in the first half with 13 of his team high 20 points.
Jylen Petty poured in nine of his 13 points in the first half on 60% shooting while guard
Terry Ford recorded eight points and five rebounds in the first 20 minutes of play.
Trailing 46-40 coming out of halftime, senior forward
Dejon Barney erupted early in the second half, scoring 10 of the first 12 Titan points within the first five minutes of the second half.
Tied as late as 63-63, Bethel on a 13-10 run to defeat IU South Bend by a final score of 76-73.
Overall, the IUSB offense featured three different Titans to record double figures, led by
Quentez Columbus who finished with a team high 20 points on a perfect 3-3 night from beyond the three point line.
Columbus' 20 points on Wednesday night gives him at least 20 points scored in all three games this season.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, November 11th, when they host Cornerstone University at 3:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
