UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (9-3, 5-0 CCAC) defeated the Governors State University Jaguars (5-8, 3-2 CCAC) by a final score of 72-62.
Saturday's win improves the Titans win streak to six consecutive games while also moving the IU South Bend Titans to a tie for first place in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference at 5-0.
A balanced IU South Bend offense featured four different Titans to score in double figures, led by junior guard
Quentez Columbus who finished with a game high 15 points.
Columbus' 15 points came on almost 50% shooting from the field while shooting 40% from the three point line in his ninth double digit scoring performance of the year.
Next in line in scoring for IU South Bend was senior forward
Dejon Barney who finished with 14 points.
Barney's 14 points came on 60% shooting from the field while also recording his team leading seventh double-double of the season.
Micah Poole and
Jylen Petty both finished with 12 points on 5-8 shooting from the field and 50% shooting from the three point line.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Thursday, December 28th, when they host Siena Heights University at 7:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
