MOUNT VERNON, OH.,-Â The Indiana University South Bend Titans (12-0, 5-0 CCAC) defeated the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Cougars (5-6, 0-3 CRC) by a final score of 82-63.Â
Monday's win extends the IU South Bend school record winning streak in wins to begin a season to 12 straight games to begin the 2023-2024 season.Â
The IU South Bend Titans offense featured three different Titans to score in double figures, led by
Tenleigh Phelps who finished with a game high 31 points.Â
Phelps' 31 points came on better than 63% shooting from the field while shooting a perfect 4-4 from the three point line and a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line.Â
Phelps' 31 points extends her CCAC lead in points to game to 21.3 and her CCAC lead in field goal percentage to almost 64%.
Next in line in scoring for the Titans was fifth year guard
Emma Fisher who finished with an IUSB career high 19 points.Â
Fisher's 19 points came on better than 70% shooting from the field and a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line.Â
With a well rounded performance in Monday's win, Fisher now finds herself in third place in field goal percentage in conference, fifth place in rebounds per game in conference, and second best in assists per game in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.Â
The last Titan to record double figures in Monday's win was fifth year guard
Maddie Gard.Â
Gard finished with 11 points on almost 50% shooting from the field.Â
Gard's 11 points tallies her 10th game this year scoring in at least double figures.Â
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, December 19th, when they return to the Student Activities Center to host the Crusaders of Great Lakes Christian College at 5:30 PM.Â
