DEERFIELD, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (19-7, 14-4 CCAC) defeated the Trinity International University Trojans (13-12, 8-9 CCAC) by a score of 73-55. Saturday's victory improves the Titans winning streak and strengthens their hold on fourth place in the CCAC.
The IU South Bend Titans featured three scorers reaching double figures, led by
Donyell Meredith II who finished with 22 points on 57 percent shooting from the field.
Meredith II tied a season high by knocking down six three point field goals on his way to his seventh 20+ scoring performance of the season.Â
Junior forward
Dejon Barney was next in line in scoring for the Titans, finishing with 14 points on 60 percent shooting from the field was also hauling in five rebounds and recording three blocks.
Barney's 62.4 percent field goal percentage leaves him in third place in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.Â
The last Titan to record double figures was senior guard
Kenny Washington who finished three rebounds shy of a double-double by scoring 10 points and securing seven rebounds.
After missing Wednesday's contest versus CCSJ, Washington picked up where he left off to record his second straight game with double figures and boost his season scoring average to better than 11 points per game.Â
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, February 15th, when they host the RedHawks of IU Northwest at 7:30 PM in the Student Activities Center.
