SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (20-7, 15-4 CCAC) defeated the Indiana University Northwest RedHawks (12-15, 11-8 CCAC) by a score of 74-66.
Wednesday's victory clinches no less than the fourth overall seed for IU South Bend, meaning they would host at least one CCAC Conference Tournament game.
IU South Bend featured three players reach double digits in scoring led by
Kenny Washington who finished with a game high 23 points on 9-20 shooting from the field.
Washington's 23 points left him one shy of his season high of 24 which he recorded in the second game of the season versus Rockford.
Next in line in scoring for the Titans was
Donyell Meredith II who finished with 13 points on better than 70% shooting from the field and 50% from the three point line.
Meredith's efficient shooting performance in Wednesday's victory boosts his season field goal percentage to over 50% and his season three point percentage to better than 42%.
The last Titan to record double digit points was
Micah Poole, finishing with 13 points on 5-8 shooting from the field and 3-6 from the three point line. Poole's three triples marks the seventh time this season that has recorded at least three triples.
Poole also tied a season high with four steals in the Titans eight point victory.
Indiana University South Bend concludes the regular season on Saturday, February 18th, when they travel to Davenport, IA., to take on the Fighting Bees of Saint Ambrose Univseristy.
