GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-11, 1-2 CCAC) dropped both matches of a doubleheader in day one of the Aquinas Invitational. IU South Bend lost their first match to Grace College (8-2) by scores of 21-25, 21-25, 15-25 before falling to Aquinas College (9-2) by scores 25-19, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 10-15.
Three Titans tied for the team high in kills as
Felisha Campanello,
Abby Seeger, and
Madison Figg each finished the doubleheader with 14 kills.
In match two, sophomore
Madison Figg posted a career best 12 kills in the five set lost to Aquinas.
For the second time this season, senior hitter
Abby Seeger tied a career high by posting seven blocks.
Setter
Emma Knowlton dished out 65 assists over today's two games, posting her third game this season with at least 40 assists in game two of the doubleheader.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, September 9th, with another doubleheader as they take on Mount Vernon Nazarene University at 11:00 AM followed by Cornerstone University at 1:00 PM to wrap up the Aquinas Invitational.
