SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (11-3, 6-0 CCAC) defeated the Calumet College of Saint Joseph (3-10, 1-5 CCAC) by a final score of 96-81.
Saturday's win improves the Titans winning streak to eight consecutive games at keeps them in a tie for first place in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference at a perfect 6-0.
Down by six with under six minutes remaining in the first half, IU South Bend went on a 23-3 run to close out the first half and take a commanding 53-41 lead headed into halftime.
The second half saw the Titans outscore the Crimson Wave 43-40 and emerge victorious by a final score of 96-81.
The IU South Bend offense featured three scorers to record double figures, led by freshman
AJ Dunn who posted a career high 26 points.
Dunn's 26 points came on better than 75% shooting from the field (10-13) while knocking down four three points field goals and two free throws.
The next Titan to score in double figures was forward
Jylen Petty who finished with 20 points.
Petty's 20 points came on better than 75% shooting from the field (7-9) while knocking down an IUSB season high six three point field goals. Petty fell just two points of tying his season in his third 20 point game of the season.
The last Titan to record double figures was senior guard
Sam Snodgrass who finished with a season high 13 points.
Snodgrass' 13 points came on 50% shooting from the field and the three point line while knocking down all three free throws that he attempted.
Snodgrass did some of everything in Saturday's CCAC victory, stuffing the stat sheet with 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and two steals.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, January 10th, when they host the Saint Xavier University Cougars at 7:30 PM in the Student Activities Center in a rematch of last year's CCAC Tournament Championship.
