SOUTH BEND, Ind.- On July 5th, 2024, Kelli Martin announced her resignation as the Head Coach of the Indiana University South Bend Titans Softball Program.
Martin began her IU South Bend career in 2022 when she led the Titans to 21 wins and a 12-10 conference record, good for sixth place in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. In the following 2023 season, IU South Bend Softball won 16 games including the first CCAC Tournament victory of Martin's career when they eliminated Saint Ambrose University from the tournament with a 7-5 win. This past season Martin led IUSB to 14 victories including an 8-6 record at home.
Over her three year tenure, Martin has helped six Titans be named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Team. In 2022, Maddie Leisher was named 1st Team All-CCAC as well as CCAC Freshman of the Year while Shelby Baker was named 2nd Team All-CCAC. In 2023, Maddie Leisher was named 1st Team All-CCAC while Abigail Yarnell received 2nd Team All-CCAC honors. In her final season of 2024, Martin helped freshman pitcher Savannah Hamilton be named 2nd Team All-CCAC while Maddie Leisher recieved her third 1st Team All-CCAC nod.
Throughout the course of her three year Indiana University South Bend career, Martin compiled 51 wins, 26 CCAC wins, and 1 CCAC Tournament win.
