Titans Shine in the Classroom with Conference and National Academic Honors

SOUTH BEND --- Success at Indiana University South Bend extends far beyond the field and the court, as Titan student-athletes once again demonstrated their commitment to academic excellence during the 2025-26 season. Across six programs, IU South Bend student-athletes earned recognition from both the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for their achievements in the classroom.

To earn CCAC All-Academic Team honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic year at their institution and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one academic year while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

A total of 33 Titans earned CCAC All-Academic honors during the 2025-26 year, while 20 student-athletes were recognized as NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Baseball

The Titan baseball program led the department with 16 CCAC All-Academic selections and 12 NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

CCAC All-Academic: Lucas Brown, Ben Dubbs, Evan Fortson, Sam Garner, Clint Goodman, Carson Mashack, Josh McCormick, Josiah Nelson, Finn O'Connell, Marshall Platz, Max Shultz, Michael Szatkowski, Lucky Teerman, Riley Thomas, Nick Turner, and Josh Vis.

NAIA Scholar-Athletes: Lucas Brown, Ben Dubbs, Clint Goodman, Carson Mashack, Josh McCormick, Finn O'Connell, Marshall Platz, Max Shultz, Michael Szatkowski, Lucky Teerman, Nick Turner, and Josh Vis.

Softball

The softball team produced four CCAC All-Academic selections, with three also earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

CCAC All-Academic: Reece Douglass, Jaylah Harlan, Elyse Starr, and Grace Swangin.

NAIA Scholar-Athletes: Reece Douglass, Jaylah Harlan, and Elyse Starr.

Men's Basketball

Three members of the men's basketball program earned CCAC All-Academic honors, with one also receiving NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

CCAC All-Academic: AJ Dunn, Kyle Olagbegi, and Kyle Millender.

NAIA Scholar-Athlete: Kyle Millender.

Women's Basketball

The women's basketball team had four student-athletes recognized by both the CCAC and the NAIA.

CCAC All-Academic: Aubrie Booker, Bradie Chambers, Lizzie Graham, and Ashlee Schram.

NAIA Scholar-Athletes: Aubrie Booker, Bradie Chambers, Lizzie Graham, and Ashlee Schram.

Volleyball

Four members of the volleyball program earned CCAC All-Academic honors.

CCAC All-Academic: Abby Weber, Madison Figg, Sydney Hanna, and Taylor Hostetler.

Women's Soccer

The women's soccer program had six student-athletes named to the CCAC All-Academic Team.

CCAC All-Academic: Alex Chichester, Alyssa Brito, Erica Thackery, Joslyn Miller, Olivia Enyeart, and Rylee Cotton.

The continued academic success of IU South Bend Athletics reflects the dedication of Titan student-athletes to excelling in every aspect of the collegiate experience. Whether competing on the diamond, hardwood, court, or pitch, these student-athletes have demonstrated that excellence in athletics is matched by achievement in the classroom.
