NOTRE DAME, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-3-1, 0-0-0 CCAC) lost their road match to Saint Mary's College (2-2-0, 0-0-0 Conf.) by a final score of 5-0.
The Belles of Saint Mary's scored twice in the opening half, both by senior forward Izzi Linus in the 8th and 19th minutes to give themselves a 2-0 lead.
Saint Mary's did not take long to score in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 49th minute to extend their lead to 3-0.
Two more second goals for the Belles allowed Saint Mary's to win Tuesday's match by a final score of 5-0.
IU South Bend split goalie duties between
Rylee Cotton and
Jordan Aiello, each playing a half, Cotton made nine saves in her 45 minutes of action while Aiello finished with three.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, September 17th, when they travel to Adrian, Mich., to take on Adrian College at 6:00 PM ET.
