LAKEVILLE, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-2-1, 0-0-0 CCAC) defeated the Indiana University Columbus Crimson Pride (2-1-0, 0-0-0 Conf.) by a final score 3-0 nothing to secure their first victory of the 2024 season.
IU South Bend got on the board early in the first period when sophomore forward
Aryanna Allen scored a goal assisted by Ava Guytan in the 12th minute of the non-conference affair to give the Titans an early lead.
IUSB grew their first half lead when she found the back of the net in the 32nd minute for her second goal of the season and move the Titans further ahead, now leading 2-0.
The score remained 2-0 well into the second half until IU South Bend scored again when freshman forward
Erica Thackery scored her first goal of the season, capping off a 3-0 IUSB victory over the Crimson Pride of Indana University Columbus.
The Titans out shot IUC 14-4 in the first half and 8-1 in the second while also attempting 15 shots on goal compared to just two for Indiana University Columbus.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on the road on Tuesday, September 10th, when they travel to Saint Mary's College (Ind.) to take on the Belles at 5:00 PM ET.
