BOURBONNAIS, Ill.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (18-8, 11-8 CCAC) fell to the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers (18-9, 15-4 CCAC) by a final score of 91-74.
The IU South Bend Titans came out of the gates hot, scoring the first seven points of the game before Olivet Nazarene stormed back to tie the game at 9-9.
The Tigers took the edge through the remainder of the first period, taking a 26-17 lead heading into the second quarter.
IU South Bend outscored Olivet Nazarene by three points in the second quarter to shorten their deficit to just six points, trailing 41-35 at halftime.
Back and forth through the third quarter, the Tigers won the quarter by two points to take a 64-56 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
One last come back attempt by the Titans proved not to be enough as the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers defeated the Indiana University South Bend by a final score of 91-74.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans offense featured three players to score in double figures, led by guard
Jazmen Watts who finished with 16 points.
Watts' 16 points came on just under 50% shooting from the field while also knocking down two three point field goals and securing four rebounds.
The next Titan to score double digits was freshman guard
Kenzie Fulks who finished with 15 points.
Fulks' 15 points came on 50% from the field while shooting a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc.
The last Titan to score in double figures was
Tenleigh Phelps who finished with 11 points.
Phelps' 11 points came on better than 50% shooting (5-9) while falling just one rebound short of double-double status.
The Indiana University conclude the regular season on Saturday, February 22nd, when they travel to Elgin, Illinois, to take on Judson University at 2:00 PM ET.
