Making History: Titans Set for First-Ever CCAC Tournament Appearance

11/3/2026 4:07:00 PM

SOUTH BEND --- For the first time in program history, the Indiana University South Bend women's soccer team is headed to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament. The eighth-seeded Titans will travel to Bourbonnais, Illinois, on Wednesday, November 4, to take on top-seeded Olivet Nazarene University at 5:00 p.m.

IU South Bend (5-10-1, 4-6 CCAC) has already put together the most successful season in program history, setting new records for overall wins and conference victories while earning its first postseason berth. The Titans found their stride early in conference play, securing three consecutive victories over Calumet, Mount Mary, and Governors State before adding a 1-0 win over Judson.

Leading the Titan offense this season has been Genevieve Smith, who has recorded a team-high six goals, while Olivia Enyeart leads the team with 15 points behind four goals and seven assists. Emma Martin has also played a key role in the attack, contributing four goals and an assist. Defensively, goalkeeper Mikayla Saunders has collected 103 saves and three shutouts on the year.

The Titans have faced adversity down the stretch, battling injuries along the backline while navigating a challenging conclusion to their conference schedule. IU South Bend dropped its final four regular-season contests, including an 8-1 loss to Olivet Nazarene in the regular-season finale on October 27.

Despite the difficult finish, the Titans have already accomplished something no team in program history has done before. Now, with a fresh opportunity in postseason play, IU South Bend will look to build on its historic season and pull off an upset against the conference's top seed.

Kickoff between the Titans and Tigers is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Olivet Nazarene University.
