GRANGER, Ind. --- IU South Bend returned to the win column Tuesday afternoon, sweeping a CCAC doubleheader from Calumet College of St. Joseph. The Titans used a dominant run-rule victory in game one before holding off a late push to secure a 5-4 win in game two.

IU South Bend improved to 14-21 overall and 9-10 in conference play.

Game One: Seven-Run Fifth Fuels 11-1 Run-Rule Win

After falling behind 1-0 early, IU South Bend exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning, taking advantage of multiple Calumet errors and delivering timely swings. Clint Goodman drove in a run with a single, and Jayden Cummings delivered the biggest blow of the frame with a bases-clearing triple to push the lead to 8-1.

The Titans added three more runs in the sixth, including RBI singles from Nick Turner and Lenox Estremera, stretching the margin to 11-1 .

On the mound, Lucky Teerman was in command throughout, tossing a complete-game effort while allowing just one run on five hits and striking out seven. The junior picked up his first career win in his first career start.

Game Two: Turmero's Homer, Lines' Save Seal 5-4 Win

IU South Bend scratched across early runs with RBI singles from Josiah Nelson and Kellen Demkovich before Luis Turmero delivered the pivotal swing — a two-run home run in the fourth inning that gave the Titans a 5-1 cushion.

Calumet responded late, scoring single runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings to trim the deficit to one. But the bullpen held.

Braylon Sheefel earned the win in relief, and Max Lines recorded the final two outs to lock down his second save of the season and secure the 5-4 victory.

IUSB will look to maintain the momentum on Friday, travelling to Trinity Christian for a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 pm ET.
