2021: Powell was named NAIA All-American Honorable Mention thanks to 1143 assists, 331 digs, and 72 kills. Her 10.68 assists per set broke an IUSB school record.

2020: CCAC Setter of the Year and AVCA NAIA Mideast Region Setter of the Year honors, Powell was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention for the first time in her career. McKenzie ended the year with 698 assists (10.12 assists/set), 209 digs, and 44 kills.

2019: Earned AVCA all-region honorable mention ... named first team CCAC all-conference and earned CCAC setter of the week four times ... became all-time assist leader in program history with 2,096 ... she holds the program record of assists in a single season and ranked 27th in NAIA DI in total assists with 1,176 ... recorded a career-high of 63 assists on 11/23/19 against Madonna ... reached her 1,000th assist against Madonna on 9/6/19 ... she enters her junior year with 47 aces 750 digs and 81 total blocks.  

2018: Saw playing time in 34 matches during her freshman year … appeared in 126 sets, averaging 1.1 kills (144 total) … dished out 920 assists (7.3/set) … tallied 30 service aces and 385 total digs on the season.  

High School: Five-time varsity letter winter at New Prairie High School … 4 times in volleyball and one in tennis.

Personal: Daughter to Mike and Ronda Powell … both her dad and cousin attended IUSB … plans to become a nurse practitioner after college … from Rolling Prairie, Indiana … born on May 30, 2000.
