Jon Koepf enters his first season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Indiana University South Bend. Koepf comes to IU South Bend after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Rio Grande (Ohio). The Elyria, Ohio native was an infielder for head coach Len Barker at Notre Dame College from 2010-13. At NDC, Koepf was a team captain, posting a .977 fielding percentage his junior season and leading the Falcons with a .333 batting average in 2013. In 2016, Koepf served as the hitting coach and third base coach for the Lorain County Ironmen in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. At Rio, he was responsible for working with the hitters and outfielders. During his time at Rio, the Red Storm reached as high as 25th in the country (NAIA). In 2015, he led the Red Storm to a 35-22 record, and also to a 39-25 record in 2016.

Koepf will begin his duties with IU South Bend in August 2016, where he will serve as the programs recruiting coordinator, and be responsible for working with hitters, infielders, and coaching third base.

Koepf completed his degree in Middle-Childhood Education in 2014 and also completed his Master's in Coaching Leadership.
