Aimee Litka

Aimee Litka has joined the IU South Bend women’s basketball staff prior to the 2009-10 season as an assistant coach after serving as the Holy Cross women’s basketball head coach from 2011-2019.

During her eight-year tenure, Litka guided Holy Cross to an 80-164 overall record and a 49-108 mark in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The 2018-19 season finished 16-16 overall with a 12-8 record in the CCAC.  

Litka enjoyed an impressive four-year career at Valparaiso University where she totaled 944 career points and 171 three-point field goals made. During her senior season, she averaged 11.8 points-per-game ranking her ninth in the Horizon League. In her four seasons at Valparaiso, Litka helped guide the Crusaders to 66 total victories.

Earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management, Litka was a star on the court and in the classroom. For the week of February 6, 2009, she earned the Horizon League Scholar Athlete of the Week. During her junior and senior seasons, she was also named to the fall and spring Horizon League Academic Honor Rolls.

Upon graduation, Litka earned her Masters of Science in Sports Administration from Valparaiso and graduated in 2010. While working on her masters Litka served as a student assistant to the women’s basketball team at Valparaiso, overseeing film exchange and day-to-day operations in the women’s basketball office.

Prior to Valparaiso, Litka was a former standout at Saint Joseph High School in South Bend. During her senior year, Litka led the Indians to a state championship and was selected Third Team All-State. In addition, she was also named First Team All-Northern Indiana Conference and was an Indiana All-Star. She set the Saint Joseph all-time scoring mark with 1,698 points as well as the all-time steals leader.
