Biography

2021: Whitney appeared in 27 of the Titans 30 matches in 2021 including 92 sets played... as a junior, she tallied 222 digs in the 2021 campaign (2.41 per set). 

2020-2021: As a sophomore, Gessinger appeared in 19 matches and 69 sets... tallying 259 digs for the season (3.75 per set)... recording a season high of 29 digs against Olivet Nazarene on 3/18/21. 

2019: During her first year as a Titan she appeared in 27 matches and played in 79 sets ... tallied 162 digs (2.05 digs per set) ... recorded a career-high of 15 digs against St. Francis (Ill) on 10/29/19. 

High School: Attended Northwood High School, racking up a cumulative GPA of 3.89 … member of the National Honor Society … varsity letter winner in volleyball all four years … the team captain was named first-team during her junior and senior seasons … named second-team all-state during her senior campaign … registered 1,000 digs and was honored the team serving and defense award ... lettered one year for the track and field team.

Personal: Born on June 21, 2000 … from Goshen, Ind. … daughter of Brett and Kerri Gessinger … plans to major in nursing at IUSB.
